Introduction:
Enron was a successful Fortune 500 company, however, at its end, it was known only for its corporate greed. Enron, by way of its executives used what is known as special purpose entities in order to cover up the companies increasing financial debt. While doing so, Enron would report increases in profit to its investors, taking in millions for themselves, all the while the company is continuing to suffer huge losses. Not only did their corporate culture play a major role in the ultimate demise of Enron, but their auditors, bankers and executives, to include their CFO, all played a part.
